In the vision he had, John saw the throne of God. He also saw that God had a book sealed with seven seals (see Revelation 5:1). Jesus Christ was the only one worthy to open that book, which he did, opening one seal at a time. Upon opening each of the seals, John saw a vision of what was contained in that part of the book. In Revelation 6:1–11 we are told of the opening of the first of the five seals. The opening of the sixth seal begins in Revelation.

En la visión que tuvo, Juan vio el trono de Dios. También vio que Dios tenía un libro sellado con siete sellos (ver Apocalipsis 5:1). Jesucristo fue el único digno de abrir ese libro, lo cual hizo, abriendo un sello a la vez. Al abrir cada uno de los sellos, Juan tuvo una visión de lo que contenía esa parte del libro. En Apocalipsis 6:1–11 se nos habla de la apertura del primero de los cinco sellos. La apertura del sexto sello comienza en Apocalipsis.
